Regional Director (Territories)

As Manager, Risk Management-Infrastructure – GNWT, Sudhir is responsible for managing the GNWT assets through the asset management Infrastructure program and in the previous job he supported community government in planning, development, implementation and management of community public infrastructure. He has introduced several new initiatives in community infrastructure asset management and also introduced a solar farm as an alternative energy initiative.

Sudhir has worked as a civil engineer in Canada`s North for the past 12 years. He managed many engineering projects from conception to final completion in Nunavut, Kitikmeot Region when working with Community and Government Services, Government of Nunavut.

He is also a tireless community volunteer. He received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, NWT outstanding volunteer award from the Govt.of NWT and Alumni award of the year from Concordia University for his outstanding contribution to Canada, promoting interests ranging from child care to new immigrants. Sudhir is a fellow member of Engineers Canada and Canadian Institute of Quantity surveyors-CIQS.

In addition to his M.Eng. (Civil) from Concordia University, Sudhir has diplomas in arbitration, construction estimating and software technology, and has completed risk management and business analysis courses.  He is a past President of NAPEG- professional association, a past Director of CIQS – Prairies and NWT, director of Engineers Canada and a member PEO and the Canadian regulatory agency on plumbing. He also serves on a number of other related boards and organizations.
