CNAM ERT Webinar: City of Coquitlam’s Facilities Digital Twin Project
For the November ERT Webinar, CNAM will have the 2024’s 1st Place Tereo Award winner, City of Coquitlam, presenting on their Facilities Digital Twin project utilizing CupixWorks.
Coquitlam owns and oversees a real estate portfolio of over 120 buildings, covering 93,000 square meters with a collective asset value of $362 million. Recognizing the need for modernized asset management practices, Visual Plan was used to scan building interiors, providing a comprehensive view of internal systems integrated into the City’s Asset Management database.
CupixWorks enables effective communication and collaboration with partners, tradespeople, and contactors by allowing virtual tours and access to accurate floor plans. The process adds resources such as manuals, photos and training videos, connecting these to Coquitlam’s central database as a single platform to access detailed building management information. This system will also help reduce the need for frequent site visits and time-consuming data searches when planning upgrades and renovations.
The implementation of Visual Plan affirms Coquitlam’s commitment to innovation and streamlining facilities asset management. By embracing this technology, the City aims to build a sustainable and resilient future, earning it recognition as the winner of the Tereo Innovator Award at the 2024 CNAM Annual Conference.
