Train the Trainer

Dates:

  • Workshop #1 – October 19
  • Workshop #2 – November 2
  • Workshop #3 – November 23

Description:
New for 2021 CNAM is now offering a Train-the-Trainer program for its renowned AM101 course!

CNAM will provide all the knowledge, training, and materials for individuals to effectively deliver CNAM’s AM101 course within their own organization! The AM101 course has been delivered to over 500 municipal staff across Canada, with the overwhelming majority agreeing that it is effective in building AM awareness. This course can be made even better when delivered by someone internal to your organization! The Train-the-Trainer program consists of three, 3-hour workshops, delivered over a period of six weeks. It will prepare participants to confidently deliver the AM101 course to others in their organization all on their own. The workshops will be broken down as follows:

Session 1:

  • Review of AM101 learning objectives, course content, and materials
  • How to prepare to deliver your own AM101 course, including sending invitations, technical requirements, and course follow up.

Session 2:

  • How to effectively facilitate training sessions
  • Building your own AM examples

Session 3:

  • Practice your presentation skills and share your AM examples with your peers
  • Get your questions answered as you prepare to deliver a course

Pre-requisite:

  • Participants are required to have attended the latest version of the AM101 course* (courses delivered since April 2020). See CNAM’s upcoming events page for available AM101 course dates. If you are unable to attend a course prior to the start of the Train-the-Trainer program, contact admin@cnam.ca to discuss other options.

* The AM101 course is free for CNAM Members. This is a great opportunity to sign up and get all of the benefits membership offers.
